A Nightclub Is A Garden (zine)

A zine originally made for a Brutal Art Collective club night, but I didn't end up showing it in the end.

Based on feelings of overwhelming joy felt at a night at SWG3 (where this night was also gonna be) when I had this vision of the huge disco ball as a feeding sun, and us dancing and swaying flowers in a kaleidoscope beneath it.

Also borne from reflecting on what would I actually want to find art-wise on a night out. SWG3 has these sofas in the smaller venue up on the balcony and I was picturing depositing some of these zines, printed all tiny down its armpits, so that unsuspecting revellers taking a break could find them.

Anyway I really enjoyed making some of these drawings, quick and dirty and smudgy, then loading them up into Krita to change up the colours and saturation. Some are better than others, but it seems a shame to bury them in my computer folders, so I'll immortalise them on here instead. Alsoo I think the club garden zine thing has legs, just maybe drawing like this is not my thing?
