Music video for Bramhope Fields, shot by myself and edited by Edward Blencowe.
Bramhope Fields is the creation of my father Jonathan Gill under his solo musical project Silvermill. I took the footage for this video walking with him through the fields near his house in Leeds - retracing paths trodden solo during the covid-19 pandemic, whose conditions inspired the melancholic lyrics contemplating the feeling of impending doom. We walked quietly, each in our own thoughts, me filming points of interest along the way.
I'm fairly happy with how the finished video came out. On first viewing the edit I was pretty critical of how shaky a lot of the footage is, but when combined with the song I think it fits the mood intended. Huge thanks to Ed who came through to edit this when I'd practically abandoned it, who added his own flavour to the colour grading & texture as well.
