WIP new series of applique textiles work. Started with tenement spider 1 (below) thats made with tartan scraps backed with an old mattress topper.
I'm planning to expand this into a series of work revolving around the eight-legged symbol of a spider and themes of community and isolation. Thinking about a choose your own adventure text, a zine & I've started on a larger 3d piece using the structure from my dads house tent. Watch this space for more spider stuff soon.
